The series is essentially the story of a dysfunctional family, the Flowers, struggling to hold themselves together. Maurice and Deborah are barely together but yet to divorce. They live with Maurice's batty mother and their maladjusted twin children.

If your own family is anything like the clan in this delightfully demented show, seek help immediately.May 04, 2016
Flowers, the dark British comedy... is the strangest TV concoction to vie for attention in years. It's worth a peek just to see how bizarre scripted TV comedy is getting.May 04, 2016
Flowers is the site's first original content, and if it is in any way a harbinger of other original fare to come, it bodes very well for the site's future. Especially if it continues to attract talent like [Will} Sharpe.May 04, 2016
Death, suicide, descents into madness, divorce, pedophilia, drunk driving, and loveless marriages... hilarious topics, right? Those depressing subjects and more are at the center of Flowers, and they've rarely been funnier.May 04, 2016
It's a twisted, miserable, gloomy, eccentric family comedy that looks and feels like nothing on TV at the moment. There still won't be anything on TV like it even after it launches, because... [Flowers] is the first original series for... Seeso.
