Superb acting from Hurt and Stamp is enough to smooth over any rough patches.July 06, 2010

'The Hit' gives the great Terence Stamp what is arguably his best role.September 15, 2015
"The Hit" is something special: thoughtful, perfectly performed and carrying the clear stamp of an extremely interesting director.September 15, 2015
Besides having a superb screenplay, Frears is blessed, here, with an unparalleled cast. Both Hurt and Stamp are as good as they've ever been, while the very young Tim Roth makes a very promising debut.
