It seems that we are reminding the painful history of the 2000 K-141 Kursk submarine disaster and the government neglect caused by that real catastrophe. These are the events of history. As sailors struggle to survive, it seems that their families were also struggling to face the dilemma of impossible opportunities to save them from certain death.

Thomas Vinterberg adapts one of the more controversial accounts of the tragedy, but strikes an even keel between humanising the doomed seamen and demonising the high command who left them to die.October 08, 2018
Vinterberg returns to the aspect ratio of 4: 3 to tell us that his speech is over, that we have returned to the oppressive state to answer the questions. Smart move, bright but disturbing. [Full Review in Spanish]October 05, 2018
Vinterberg's superb direction makes this a moving.December 04, 2018

Does put a more realist slant on proceedings. But the clunky dialogue, clichéd relationships and characterisation of every character undermine all these efforts.September 07, 2018
It's a heartbreaking, troubling film about men whose lives were cruelly deprioritised and whose families remain ever altered as a result.December 16, 2018
Kursk is a captivating and heartbreaking look at how a government let its people down.
